Back in April we took on Rosie, an 8 week old fox cub that had been hand reared since birth. She is a sole survivor of her litter after the dad went rouge and killed her siblings. She has been a complete joy to look after and has really taken a shine to our terrier Maddy, amazing really as Maddy is a Patterdale, Lakeland cross and her mum and dad were used for hunting foxes by the breeders. Maddy enjoys the company and when the play fighting gets going the living room looks like a war zone at times.
At present Rosie has access to the living room and the patio and veg garden, being fenced in while we work on recall. We have been fencing in the lower paddock so in time she'll have an acre to run around in.
Eventually the idea will be to allow photographers the chance to come and take photographs of her running free but obviously recall has to be 100% before that happens.
Below are a few pictures I've taken of her since we've had her.
