Fishing

I haven't blogged about any of my fishing trips recently, that's mainly because the conditions haven't been right for barbel fishing much lately. Looking at the forecast from Tuesday onwards looks good and I hope to get out then. I've set myself a target of a 15lb plus barbel before the end of the season. This will be my tenth over that weight but will also probably be my last as I hope to move away from Bedfordshire shortly.
I've started to upload some old RAW files off of my old computer and have re developed them in my latest photographic program Aperture 3, as the rain is beating down outside I've just developed a few from a fishing trip to the Maldives. The trip was a combined popper and jigging trip and although nothing big was caught it was one hell of a trip to one of the most beautiful places on the planet.
Although most of my fishing in this country is bait fishing I have to say that the fishing I enjoy the most is with artificial lures and nothing can beat fishing a surface popper   in the tropics, seeing a trevally bow waving towards your lure before nailing it is one of the most exiting things in angling.
